Terms and conditions

RobbenIslandTours.com is an independent travel information website operated by Jan Pretorius in Cape Town, South Africa. We do not operate Robben Island tours, the ferry or any activity. Robben Island Museum operates the ferry and visitor service.

This website provides general planning information and links to GetYourGuide for bookings. We may earn a commission when you book through an affiliate link, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not make this an official museum website or tour operator.

Bookings are completed on GetYourGuide. Prices, availability, inclusions, meeting instructions, cancellation terms and other booking conditions can change. Review the details and terms shown for your selected date before paying.

GetYourGuide and the relevant activity provider handle the booking, payment, cancellation and tour service. Their terms and privacy policy apply to your booking. Contact them directly for booking support, changes, refunds or questions about the activity. We cannot change or guarantee a booking made through a third party.

We work to keep the travel information useful, but schedules, access arrangements and other details may change. Information is provided for general planning and may not reflect the latest operating conditions. Confirm time-sensitive details with the relevant official source or in your booking confirmation.

Nothing on this website is a promise that a particular tour, ticket, departure or facility will be available. The site is not an official source for Robben Island Museum policies or operations.

You may use this site for lawful, personal travel research. Do not interfere with the site’s operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code or use its content in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

Unless a page says otherwise, the site’s original text, design and branding may not be republished or commercially reused without permission. Third-party names, marks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Links lead to third-party websites, including GetYourGuide and Robben Island Museum. We do not control their content, services, availability or privacy practices. A link does not mean that a third party endorses this website.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on information that has changed, interruptions to this website or services provided by a third party. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer or other laws.

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. The laws of the Republic of South Africa govern these terms, subject to any mandatory laws that apply to you.
